IOANNIS KOUTSOGIANNIS

Ioannis Koutsogiannis graduated from the Physics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2015. He also received his M.Sc. in Environmental Physics from the same institution in 2017. Today, he participates as a PhD student and research associate in the Climate and Climatic Change Group. His research interests focus on the study of climate dynamics over the eastern Mediterranean. He has acquired experience in the field of observations of climate parameters through a multitude of instruments including radiosondes and spectrophotometers. He is also skilled in the analysis of climate data from both observations and models using R and Matlab programming. He has worked as an intern in the Climatology and Applications Division of the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS). He has also served in the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) with the specialty of airman meteorologist where he was responsible for the encoding of METAR and SYNOP weather reports in the international airport of Karpathos Island and the meteorological station of Athinai, Hellinikon.
